« Ethnic » renovation with metallic accents

Spotlight on one of our projects: « Ethnic » renovation with metallic accents.
-> A traditional apartment Clients in their forties with a 9-year-old daughter.
Incorporating an ethnic touch with metallic finishes, while working closely with the family’s architect.

The word « ethnic » can bring to mind a multitude of references. Through discussions with customers and with the help of Pinterest, we refined our theme around Africa.
The first sketches, drawn up by the architect, served as the base for our work. With a palette defined around white, black and brass, we focused on working on the finishes, while respecting the overall direction of the project.

A mat white lacquer covered the space, contrasted by a satin black lacquer for certain elements. A bronze and black patina treatment, offering sumptuous metallic reflections, gave added depth and relief to selected items. Brass was used throughout the project, from the kitchen fronts to the coffee table and the master suite.

The living room was supposed to feature a decorative panel from the studio, but after discussion with the clients, we agreed that a piece of antique art would be more appropriate.
In the end, we designed two free-standing dividers, one for the dining room and the other for the master suite.

Although our customers are often discreet about the final results, you can see a part of the pattern used for a few wallpaper panels.

At Studio Saint Pierre, we work with agility, adapting to each project.
Collaborations with interior designers enrich our creative process and enable us to push back our limits.

Each project is a new opportunity to create unique spaces and objects.
